COURSE OF STUDY

About the traditional karate styles

All schools train the basic forms (“kata”) and the fights with an opponent (“kumite”).

I'm teaching traditional style karate ("Shingetsu ryu" It is based on Shitouryu and Gojyuryu), and it has the most basic forms and it will bring health and security.

There are a lot of basic forms and they make the reflection nervous system and the body movements which are useful for real fights. You can not only acquire the techniques of self-defense but also maintain and increase health by learning these basic forms. That is to say, you can obtain big property in your life.

In practicing “kumite”, we do “sundome”, and we stop within an inch of punching and kicking. It is different from “the contact karate” which we really punch and kick the opponent, and we practice the punch and kick in the assumption of real fights.

From the old and the young can train safety, as each person can regulate his or her own physic load. In my lesson, we mainly train the “kata” and you can learn the method of self-defense and also a mind and a manner of respecting one another.

If you are interested in karate, let’s come and work out together!
