Information for Examination (SHINSA)

 

The examination tests the student’s knowledge in Karate and the skill level which applies to the rank.  Examinations are scheduled four times a year during the months of March, June, September, and December.

 

There are two kinds of ranks. The Beginner’s (Novice) class and the Middle class rank are named KYUU.

From 10KYUU to 4KYUU is the Beginner's (Novice) class.

From 3KYUU to 1KYUU is the Middle class.

The individual belt colors start from white belt to brown belt.  The higher rank is called DAN.  It starts from SHODAN-first degree and the belt color is black.  After SHODAN-first degree the belt color will remain black.

The examination is the best method for the student to clearly understand the level of their abilities and the steps necessary to improve their Karate skills.    

All Karate students acquire self-confidence through this experience.

 


It is mandatory for the examinee to learn the name of each stance and how to properly
